COVID-19 Working from Home

Having a good routine will add structure to your day, help you concentrate when you need to, and make sure you get the necessary things done. That structure also needs to allow for down-time and provide relief in what is a very stressful time.

Are you struggling to work from home? Here’s 3 tips on how to work from home effectively:

  1. Begin your day in a positive way. Get up and get dressed as you would normally. Maybe have a look at a home workout during the time you save not travelling to work. 
  2. Find a specific space, sectioned off just for you and your work. This is where you’ll be working for the time-being, so make sure it’s practical. It might be tempting to lie in bed with your laptop, but that will make it more difficult to concentrate on work, and much more difficult to switch off at night.
  3. Just like you would at work, make yourself a cup of tea or coffee and listen to music. Have regular breaks, make sure you have lunch and step outside for some fresh air and exercise (following government guidelines of course).
